Vegetation workshops

Vegetation management assistance

Vegetation management workshops cover landholders' rights and responsibilities
under the current vegetation legislative framework and how to secure the best long-term outcome for enterprises by locking in a Property Map of Assessable Vegetation (PMAV) and disputing incorrectly mapped areas. The advantages of having a notification of forest practice on freehold land is also covered.

While AgForward is no longer delivering free vegetation management workshops, a limited number of workshops will be delivered through AgForce Projects Biodiversity Project. See the events calendar for upcoming dates.

If there are no workshops in your region please contact AgServices for fee-for-service options.

Mundubbera producers Jesse and Valmay Dolding said they appreciated the assistance from AgForce Projects to dispute vegetation marked as remnant on their map.

“It is good for landholders like us to know that even though our maps are incorrect, a detailed PMAV can change this and guarantee the land remains as Category X,” Mrs Dolding said.

“We now know how to contest the classifications over our property to lock in a detailed PMAV.”
