CSG news for North Queensland

The past month has been a very busy and productive time for our projects team. Since the last newsletter I have travelled the state to deliver CSG workshops in Tambo, Augathella and Charleville along with CSG property computer mapping workshops in Boonah, Beaudesert, Kingaroy, Toogoolawah, Millmerran, Tara, Moonie and Goondiwindi.

Picture on right at the Augathella CSG workshop: Chris Lawrence, Rob Grummitt, Milly Carmichael, John McKay and Guy Newell.

Across our team we have also delivered CSG workshops in Taroom, Wandoan and Theodore, while also preparing our new CSG workshop, commencing in July, to help landholders affected by CSG develop negotiation skills and identify property specific risks from CSG and examples of important conduct provisions to consider.

Our projects team will be delivering CSG workshops in Winton, Isisford, Aramac and Muttaburra June 25 to 28. You can register for these directly here or call 3238 6048.

AgForce Projects is also holding GPS workshops at Tambo, Blackall and Barcaldine (17-19 July). You can register for these here or call 3238 6048. Spots are limited for these workshops so get in early to avoid disappointment. GPS is a great property tool available to landholders dealing with vegetation management, recording infrastructure and dealing with resource development to name a few.

Please also see our general newsletter update for other developments impacting CSG industry and landholders such as the announcement of the Gas Fields Commissioners and close of the submission period for the Underground Water Impact Report.

Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions or concerns you may have about development in your area or to find out if there are current exploration tenures over your property.

This month AgForce also released information outlining the rapid development of CSG and other resources industries in the Galilee basin. Read the article here.

CSG Information Sessions – Phase 2

AgForce Projects has a new round of CSG information sessions that will be rolled out from July 2012. This second phase of information sessions will build on the information we have already provided to over 1,900 landholders throughout Queensland. The focus of the phase 2 information sessions is to be more “hands on” and is designed to specifically assist you in your negotiations with a resource company.

Topics include:
  • An update on CSG activities and legislative amendments across Queensland
  • Developing and using a tailored checklist to assess CSG impacts to your business
  • Identifying the benefits of a sound property plan and map for use in CCA negotiations; and
  • Real world examples of information required when preparing to negotiate.
Upcoming dates for Southern Inland and Western Queensland for Phase 2 are on our website.  You can register for these directly here or call 3238 6048.
